In the darkest depths of forgotten catacombs, thought lost to time and shuttered away beyond living sight, stand the Gates of Hell. These pathways serve as permanent conduits to the Infernal Realm, quite unlike the temporary portals created by a conjunction of Realms. Guarded on both ends by vigilant watchers, and haunted by shadows caught between worlds, only the most foolhardy or desperate dare seek out this cursed portal. Thus naturally, this is the Lightbringers’ road. For while getting into Hell is simply a matter of stepping through any portal, this physical path makes a mortal immune to simple banishment, leaving them free to confront the true source of this Massive Darkness.
